The Exquisite Corpse of Ed Kiramidjou

Edward Kiramidjou’s parents, Peter and Mary Kiramidjou, emigrated from Armenia as a result of the Armenian Genocide. Ed served in the US Army Air Force from 1942-46. At home in San Francisco he served as de facto mayor of Dunsmuir Street in the Portola District; with his deep sense of civic duty, he was essential to the social health of the neighborhood. At one point, Ed assisted 13 widows in caring for their homes.—Oscar Melara
